Community Gardens:

Community Garden Rules and regulations

Organic Gardening: ONLY organic fertilizers and pesticides may be used. Chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides are not permitted. (NO MIRACLE GROW!)

Mulching: Newspaper or grass clippings serve as a deterrent to unwanted weed growth between rows. No plastic or synthetic weed barrier is to be used.

Weeds: You must maintain your plot. If your plot is not maintained (weeds are going to seed) you will lose your plot without refund of the fee.

Boundaries: Respect the boundaries of other gardener’s plots- do not enter another plot unless invited by the “owner”.

Watering: No individual garden hoses may be hooked up to the water lines. Be courteous.  Do not leave the water running into a receptacle while you are off watering.

Children: All children must be under strict supervision at all times and must follow the rules and regulations as well. They should not be running through the garden, throwing stones, or in any way interfering with the garden efforts of others.

Pets: Pets are not allowed, as the garden is not the appropriate place for them. Please do not leave pets in your car.

Noise pollution: Please do not play radios, boom boxes, loud music or allow youngsters to engage in noisy play.

Pilfering of produce will not be tolerated.  Respect your neighbor’s plots or you will no longer be welcome in the garden
